West Country Ancestors will treat all dealings with the client in the strictest confidence. We shall not pass personal or research information of any kind to any other party without the express written permission of the client
Each commission will begin with a consultation with the client to agree the subject and scope of work to be carried out. We shall carry out this initial consultation free of charge.
West Country Ancestors will not charge the client for travel within the Somerset area.
Where work is carried out outside the Somerset area West Country Ancestors will charge the client for travel time and the costs associated with such travel.
West Country Ancestors will agree a number of project hours or a budgeted total cost before work commences. We shall not carry out work wothout the agreement of the client.
West Country Ancestors will perform work at an agreed hourly rate. This charge will apply to timespent on writing up the research as well as the research itself.
Where relevant, we shall obtain copies of appropriate items. Charges for copying documents will be passed on at cost.
